Dance Like A Manc’ is the official app for the British feature film 'Spike Island'. Set against the backdrop of the Stone Roses gig, directed by Mat Whitecross, starring Elliott Tittensor, 'Spike Island' is a hilarious, heart-warming story from the heart of the 90’s Manchester music scene. Moonshine Media's Dance Like A Manc’ puts you in the picture; film yourself and your friends on your iPhone, and select from three different filter styles which relate to a trio of select moments from the film. The three filters have been developed bespokely; ‘paint’ which directly references the famous Stone Roses self-titled album artwork, ‘night’ filter which creates a night vision effect, and ‘flare’ which recreates the atmosphere of that night. There you will find two of the lead cast members dancing in six different videos to show the layman Manc’ dancer how to do the 'King Monkey', the 'Resurrection' and more. After you’ve filmed yourself with the chosen filter, select 'ave it' and the title sequence of the film and release date are then automatically composited at the beginning and end of your own clip, creating your own 'Spike Island' trailer. Your film can be saved to the film to a video library as well as your iOS camera roll - and be able to easily share the video with your friends via YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and also via direct email. If you upload your creation to YouTube, it will be posted to a specific Dance Like A Manc’ channel, which collates all video entries from the app, so you can rate other contributors too.
