Custom formula calculator, DIEP-W, is an application to estimate the weight of DIEP flap for breast reconstruction.This is the first application in the world that can estimate the DIEP flap weight. DIEP (Deep Inferior Epigstric artery Perforator) flap is one of most popular ways of breast reconstruction. Surgeons can easily calculate the DIEP weight with varying flap dimensions in a nearly real-time fashion using this application. The authors programmed the calculation formula in this application. Estimated DIEP flap weight is shown when users input 6 variables: 1. body mass index (kg/m2) 2. vertical height of the flap (cm) 3. horizontal width of the flap (cm) 4-6.flap thickness (mm) on CT angiographic images at 3 paraumbilical sites: 5cm right (R) , left (L), and inferior (I) from the umbilicus. R, L, and I is measured by pinch test for DIEP-W: pinch, and by CT images for DIEP-W: CT.
