Ashton Gatehouse is a Georgian Gothic building with fascinating stories to tell. To the west it looks out over the mansion and grounds of Ashton Court, and, to the east, historic and industrial Bedminster. This App will take you on a tour of both areas, weaving the stories of those who have shaped the local landscape into your walk. From the start screen, decide whether to explore Ashton Court or Bedminster first. You can see where you are on the map – make your way from one destination to another, uncovering tales along the way. If you can’t make it to the local area, just tap the markers instead - you can still investigate the stories that have made Ashton Court and Bedminster the magnificent and curious places they are today! This App was developed by Culture Force working with Steers McGillan Eves and Calvium, with research by and in consultation with Gatehouse volunteers, to whom we are very grateful.
