Introducing the Cosby Golf Club by Golf Club, in the heart of the Midlands, is situated 7 miles south west of Leicester City Centre and within easy access of the M1 and M69. The club consists of 18 holes of mature parkland golf with a modern 10 bay flood-lit driving range and a state of the art double teaching bay and flightscope. There is a well stocked professional shop and lessons are available from Anders Mankert who is an award winning UK top 40 coach. Excellent food and drink can be enjoyed in the 19th! Measuring 6474 yards, par 71 (SSS72) for the Gents and 5472 yards, par 71 (SSS73) for the Ladies, the mature, tree-lined, parkland course provides a challenging but fair test of golf. Throughout Leicestershire Cosby’s greens are well renowned for the subtleties of borrow, consistency of pace and smoothness of roll. Strategically placed bunkers and well irrigated approaches are factors to consider when adopting a ‘risk and reward’ tactic. A 10 bay covered driving range and short game practice area provide an excellent opportunity for a pre-round warm up – strongly recommended before you tackle the tricky first hole! If you are playing Cosby for the first time, you would be advised to read the course guide before you embark on your round.
