Care Company App This Care app provides opportunity for the general public to search for any available job vacancies within the care sector. The job vacancies can be searched by tapping on to any county where the jobs are available. The Service user vacancies area enables users to check vacancies for service users within residential and supported living services. The whistle-blowing area enables employees or members of the public to raise any concerns they may have about care services. It also sets out the circumstances under which workers who disclose information about malpractice at their workplace are protected under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998. There is also an emergency referral area where user can get in touch with care providers if emergency care is needed. There is a call back feature that can be used for referrals. Referrals can be made by a social worker, care manager or the individual’s parents, With the advent of the Personalisation Agenda and the drive towards Self Directed Support, this app also anticipate and look forward to working ever more directly with service users and their families/advocates.
